A new video featuring an early build of GTA 6 has surfaced online, and according to the leaker, it had been sitting forgotten on his phone for four years until he decided to clear some storage.
Güncelleme: The video that recently surfaced online has already been thoroughly examined by enthusiasts, and more and more signs suggest that it is most likely a fake.
Community members have pointed out a number of inconsistencies. Specifically, the location shown doesn’t match any of the areas previously seen in the official Grand Theft Auto 6 trailers. Additionally, the debug bar looks inauthentic, and the user interface elements are incorrectly placed.
The short clip shows a small bridge in Vice City, with a truck driving across it. Streetlights and a bit of coastal development are visible in the background, but there are no shootouts, chases, or characters on screen. Still, this unremarkable scene has sparked plenty of discussion. The user behind the leak, going by the name Vice City Alligator, says the video was sent to him by a Rockstar developer friend during the lockdown, a couple of months before the big 2022 leaks.
Know a bloke who used to work at R*. They sent me this about two months before the 2022 leaks happened. Been sat on it for ages, but since they don't work there anymore, figured I’d drop it. Tbh it literally shows nothing, just asked them to show me a spot they were proud of working on. Quality is absolute shite though cuz they sent it via email (had to compress it).
Despite its minimal content, the video quickly spread across fan communities and racked up over 100,000 views in just a day.
GTA 6 is set to launch on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game was recently spotted in the PlayStation database, which may hint at pre-orders opening soon.
