Amid rumors of a potential announcement for the next Halo this month, troubling news has emerged about the internal situation at the studio. The information comes from the same source who önce bildirdi on a possible Halo: Combat Evolved remaster by Virtuos.

According to well-known Halo leaker Rebs Gaming, serious leadership issues have arisen at Halo Studios, and several key team members have already left the project.

In particular, series veteran and art director Glenn Israel, who had been with the studio since 2010, recently departed, stating that he could not compromise on dignity and values:

As of today, and after 17 long years, I’m officially no longer contributing to the Halo universe. There’s little more I can say for the moment, though, I intend to share this particular story in its entirety when it is absolutely safe to do so next year. No illusion of security nor promise of wealth or fame or power is worth trading away your health, your dignity, your ethics or values.
— Glenn Israel

Additionally, out of nine developers who worked on the Halo Infinite art team, only one remains.

Rebs Gaming reports that the studio is facing serious internal challenges, but sources have not allowed further details to be disclosed. Against this backdrop, the rumored announcement of the next Halo, expected on October 24, 2025, now seems unlikely.

Regarding the potential Halo: Combat Evolved remaster, it is expected to use a hybrid approach with graphics on Unreal Engine 5 while keeping gameplay on the original engine, and it may also be announced at the end of October.
