A well-known movie insider Jeff Sneider shared rumors about the cast of the X-Men reboot. According to him, Marvel intends to offer the Substance star the role of Rogue.
As he said in the penultimate podcast TheHotMicTheInSneider, Margaret Qualley impressed Marvel with her performance in the sensational body horror. And since Rogue canonically has powers that take away the abilities of other people and mutants, the actress was considered a suitable candidate for playing such scenes.
Recall that the character already appeared in the previous X-Men trilogy from 20th Century Fox. Then the role of Rogue was played by New Zealand actress Anna Paquin. However, after the studio was purchased by Disney in 2020, the series was rebooted with an updated cast.
