According to insiders, the upcoming superhero epic Avengers: Doomsday will feature a full scene dedicated to the meeting of Tom Hiddleston’s Loki and Chris Evans’ Captain America. The sequence is said to tie directly into the endings of Avengers: Endgame and Season 2 of Loki. Warning: potential spoilers ahead!
UnBoxPHD — who previously leaked reliable set photos from Doomsday — reports that Tom Hiddleston has already filmed his return to the MCU, with a scene connected to Loki’s newfound role. At the end of his solo series, Loki became the God of Time, holding the entire multiverse together. Meanwhile, well-known insider DanielRPK described the sequence: according to him, Loki will visit the home of Captain America and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell), where the couple lived following the events with the Infinity Stones and Steve Rogers’ return to his own timeline. This may serve as the filmmakers’ explanation for why Cap chose not to return to the present and instead gave up the shield.
Footage from the set seemingly supports this leak, showing the TVA (Time Variance Authority) offices — now essentially led by Loki. Around the same time, a stunt double for Chris Hemsworth was spotted on set, suggesting that Thor will once again reunite with his adoptive brother.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to premiere on December 18, 2026. It was also recently confirmed that Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool will appear in the film.
