It appears that Relic Entertainment may be working on a new installment of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War. A few days ago, an anonymous user on 4chan posted alleged screenshots and details of an unannounced strategy game set in the "grimdark" universe, which many quickly associated with Warhammer 40,000.

According to the anonymous source, the strategy game will feature 4 factions, each with their own story campaigns, over 100 unit types, 12 playable heroes, and multiple modes, including multiplayer and a "Horde" mode. As for the screenshots, they show several locations, all watermarked.

While it’s impossible to verify the authenticity of the leak, Reddit users have found indirect evidence suggesting that Dawn of War 4 might indeed be in development. Recently, a LinkedIn profile of one of Relic's employees mentioned that the studio is working on an unannounced project.

Of course, this is all speculation, but fans of the series have long been hoping for a new Warhammer 40,000 strategy game. The last release, Dawn of War 3, came out in 2017, after which Relic shifted its focus to other franchises.
