OneXPlayer and AYANEO have unveiled devices that push the boundaries of portable gaming. Their flagship models—the ONEXSUGAR and Pocket S2—combine cutting-edge hardware, bold design choices, and unconventional engineering to deliver unparalleled experiences.

OneXPlayer ONEXSUGAR: Dual Screens, Double the Potential

The showstopper is OneXPlayer’s ONEXSUGAR, featuring a hybrid dual-screen design. Its primary 6.01-inch display is paired with a compact 3.92-inch secondary screen that rotates 360°, doubling as a stand or extending gameplay space. At its core is the Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 processor, boasting 30% faster CPU performance and 28% improved graphics over its predecessor, with hardware-accelerated ray tracing support.

Despite a slightly thicker chassis due to the dual-screen setup, the device retains a traditional control layout. The non-detachable controllers are integrated via hinged mechanisms, which developers claim ensures reliability and responsiveness—crucial for fast-paced gaming.

AYANEO Pocket S2: Power Meets Ergonomics

AYANEO’s Pocket S2 focuses on ergonomics and battery life. It sports a 6.3-inch 1440p IPS display with crisp visuals and vibrant colors. Under the hood, it shares the Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 chip but pairs it with an enhanced cooling system featuring a massive heatsink and fan to prevent overheating during demanding sessions.

The redesigned controls include Hall-effect joysticks and triggers for precision, alongside dual X-axis motors for tactile feedback. A high-capacity battery with fast-charging support promises extended playtime, though exact specs remain under wraps.

Gaming Pad: A Multimedia Hub for Tech Enthusiasts

Another surprise is AYANEO’s Gaming Pad—a hybrid tablet-console with an 8.3-inch 1440p/120Hz display. Beyond smooth visuals, it boasts a versatile camera setup: a 50MP main lens, 13MP ultra-wide shooter, and 5MP front camera for streaming or video calls. A six-axis gyroscope and support for peripherals (controllers, keyboards) further broaden its use cases.

No release dates or pricing details have been announced yet, though the ONEXSUGAR is already available for pre-order on Indiegogo, hinting at a imminent rollout for other models. These launches underscore a growing trend: handheld consoles are evolving into versatile gadgets capable of replacing not just gaming devices, but full-fledged entertainment hubs.
