AMD has officially confirmed that the Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT, built on the RDNA 4 architecture, will hit the market in early March. The new GPUs are expected to be available on March 6, 2025 — just two weeks after NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti, which are set to launch on February 20.

During AMD’s financial report presentation, CEO Lisa Su highlighted that the upcoming GPUs will offer improved ray tracing performance and AI-powered upscaling, ensuring high-quality 4K gaming.

According to sources, AMD intentionally delayed the RX 9070 announcement to analyze NVIDIA’s specifications and market strategy. This decision could give AMD an edge in capturing gamers' attention, especially given the supply issues NVIDIA faced with the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080. The high demand led to shortages, sending resale prices skyrocketing.

The first reviews of the Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT are expected to drop a few days before launch. The projected prices are around $500 and $600, making them an attractive option for gamers seeking high-performance GPUs at a reasonable price. Now, the big question is whether AMD can seize the momentum and offer a compelling alternative in the high-end graphics card market.
