Puck: Kathleen Kennedy to Step Down as Lucasfilm President by Late 2025

Kathleen Kennedy is preparing to leave her role as president of Lucasfilm, according to a report from Puck. Three sources have indicated that the position will be vacant by the end of the year.
The news isn’t exactly shocking—Kennedy turns 72 in June. She has held the position since 2012, when Disney acquired the company.
Kennedy is regarded as one of the most influential producers in Hollywood. Over her career, she has worked on 80 films, including every Indiana Jones movie, Back to the Future, and Jurassic Park.
Despite her impressive résumé, many will remember Kennedy as the executive who "killed" Star Wars. Her tenure saw the release of a commercially successful yet divisive sequel trilogy, the underwhelming Solo: A Star Wars Story, and a long list of canceled projects, including a standalone film from the creators of Game of Thrones.
Some reports suggest that Dave Filoni—known for The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka—could take over as Lucasfilm’s next president. He and Jon Favreau are currently working on The Mandalorian & Grogu, a feature-length film set in the Star Wars universe.
