A new horror title, Fragile Reflection, has launched on Steam today. Heavily inspired by the iconic Silent Hill franchise, Fragile Reflection is currently available with a 10% launch discount until September 9th. A free demo is also available for those wanting to try before they buy.
Fragile Reflection is a third-person horror game sporting retro-inspired graphics. The game tells the story of Kario Ito, a young woman who returns to her family in the Japanese town of Nankofuraku. However, her cherished childhood memories are shattered as the town is now overrun by grotesque creatures. Gaining supernatural abilities, Kario can shift between the normal world and a nightmarish "Reflection" of it. She must unravel the mystery of what happened to her hometown and find her missing parents, exploring dark and unsettling locations, solving puzzles, and battling monsters along the way.
"Kario Ito arrives in the village to visit her relatives, but this bright place from memories was blackened by terrible creatures roaming the streets in search of fresh flesh. The heroine has to make her way to the truth through a nightmare, using the environment wisely, moving between the real world and the Reflection," reads the game's official Steam description.
In related news, a new mainline Silent Hill game, rumored to be set in Japan, is currently in development. The game is being developed by Hong Kong-based Neobards Entertainment using Unreal Engine 5. We published an article with more details about the game in August.
