The creators of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 put a lot of effort into simulating life in the game, and the result delighted even developers from other studios. The quest designer of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077 also praised his colleagues from Warhorse Studios.

A timelapse video has gone viral online, in which NPCs pick up items scattered around the area worth a total of 300 thousand groschen. Moreover, poorer townspeople drag everything in sight, but wealthy residents pick up really valuable items.

The video has gained a solid 870 thousand views and attracted the attention of one of the developers of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. In the comments, Patrik Papšo explained that he was the one who set a certain behavior for NPCs depending on their social status. His work was approved, among others, by Philipp Weber, a quest designer from CD Projekt RED and scriptwriter for The Witcher 4:

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 really has a very well-thought-out and rich life simulation. For example, a simple passerby can help the player in battle, city residents react to the behavior of Henry and his dog, and NPCs patrolling the open world can raise the alarm when they stumble upon a body lying in the middle of the road.

It was previously reported that the development of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 cost half as much as the creation of The Witcher 3.
