"For Victory!" is a key story quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 that will change your perception of the political intrigues of 15th-century Bohemia. In this guide, we will explain how to successfully complete all available activities at the reception with Lord Otto von Bergov and share useful tips for the walkthrough.
When you're ready, go up to the second floor of the tower and step out onto the balcony. Your friend will be waiting here. After talking to him, you'll attend a feast where there will be many additional activities within this quest. Below we describe how to participate in each of them.
This activity will automatically conclude once you complete the main tasks. In the room, you can talk to the following characters:
Talk to Jan once more and go down the stairs. In the kitchen, where a few story quests ago you could talk to the steward Ulrich, a cook named Maneta sits at the far table.
When you inquire about Katerina, the girl will suggest delivering the wine to Ptacek yourself, but she will ask for a favor. The crate behind her is locked and won't open — you'll need to help with this. If you have previously stolen from one of the guards, simply use the key. Otherwise, you'll have to pick a medium lock. Once done, inform Maneta that everything is ready. The task will be completed.
Approach Knight Gerzman, who is standing near Jan Ptacek. Listen to him and agree to help. Exit through the green door onto the balcony and run towards the opposite tower, then climb to the top floor. There are two guards patrolling here, and the passage is forbidden, so be careful.
Remember the alchemist's table where you prepared a potion for Lord Bergov's captain in the quest "For Whom the Bell Tolls"? You need to go to this tower. Right before the door to the physician's office, there's an inconspicuous staircase on the left. If you're sneaking without light, you might not notice it at all.
Pick the easy lock and take the ring, as well as several of Florian's letters. If you read them, Henry can frame the man's lover.
Return to Gerzman and show the ring. He will ask you to give it to the girl sitting next to Florian. When you do this, respond with "From my shy friend". This option will lower your reputation, but you will frame Florian and receive a reward from Knight Palchik.
The quest will automatically complete if you go to bed and sleep. Additionally, it can be completed if you pass a skill check in a conversation with Widow Johanka of Zhernov. When she suggests being alone, say "I think I can convince you."
If you've already dealt with the wine, head to the blacksmith. The man will say that there's no good equipment left. We don't recommend scaring him with the chamberlain; instead, threaten to beat him up, which you'll need to do after the dialogue. This is the easiest and fastest way to get good equipment, though you will lose a bit of reputation.
When control returns to you, deal with the nearby enemies and follow Jan down the path. Try not to get distracted by the bandits, as there's no point in wasting time on them since the outcome will always be the same.
In this task, fend off the incoming waves of enemies, but don't pay too much attention to the chamberlain, as he will soon perish.
From Ulrich's corpse, move down the road until you encounter an obstacle in the form of fallen trees and several carts. Ptacek will be waiting here. From him, head right and descend to the mill. We recommend not engaging in battle and simply running to the mill. Once you reach it, a cutscene will start.
Earlier, we recommended equipping good armor and weapons to fight the bandit leader. In addition, bring calendula potion and other concoctions that might be useful in the battle.
