It looks like an anime adaptation of the action-adventure hit Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice might actually be in development. Kadokawa Corporation, which owns FromSoftware, has registered the domain "sekiro-anime.jp." The domain was registered on July 31, 2025, and is set to remain active until July 31, 2026.

Rumors suggest that the anime is being produced by Qzil.la, the studio behind "Hell’s Paradise." Since Qzil.la is a relatively new player in the industry, there’s speculation that the first season could be on the shorter side.

There’s been no official announcement yet, but the domain registration is a strong sign that news could be coming soon. It’s important to note that, for now, the existence of a Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice anime adaptation has not been officially confirmed.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice launched in 2019 to critical acclaim. For example, it currently boasts a 95% rating on Steam. The game follows a lone warrior who battles enemies using a katana and special mechanized prosthetics, with most of the story set in Sengoku-era Japan.

By the way, Sony recently announced an anime series based on Ghost of Tsushima.
