Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies — the single-player campaign consists of 18 missions that form a completely linear story. Before each mission, the player receives a briefing that includes the current situation, the background and objectives of the operation, and chooses one of the available aircraft and weapons. The game features 21 types of equipment, including real-world aircraft and one fictional plane. To complete a mission, the player must achieve all its objectives within a certain time limit, and some missions include updated goals.
