Exploring the island from coast to coast is at the heart of Adventure Island: The Beginning. The player learns new skills and searches for hidden Golden Melons across stages and mini-games. Melons can be exchanged for items that increase attack power or provide access to previously unreachable areas. Meeting certain requirements in any mode unlocks a Master Higgins costume.
