Alcahest

Alcahest — an arcade-style action game with RPG elements that uses a top-down perspective similar to games such as The Legend of Zelda and Soul Blazer, in which the player takes on the role of swordsman Alain as he embarks on a journey to stop a demon. A tribe led by Babilom, an emperor planning to conquer the world with his imperial army, and the titular demon god who was revived after his previous defeat a thousand years ago. Before launching, the game's title screen allows you to access an options menu where you can select any of the 4 available difficulty settings or change the controls setting. The player progresses through 8 stages populated by various enemies and obstacles, progressing by finding items and power-ups that help Alain in his quest. Each stage has bosses and mini-bosses that you need to fight in order to progress.
