Alien Rampage is an arcade action platformer about an alien whose ship has crash-landed on a planet overrun by mutants. With its cargo lost, the protagonist sets out against the Untharians responsible for wrecking the ship, aided by a handful of enslaved natives.
Across 21 levels, the player fights, jumps and shoots with seven types of weapons. More than 30 life forms stand in the way, including three overlords, and progress calls for both combat and problem-solving. The levels use quad-parallax scrolling.
