This adventure follows a young person with Asperger syndrome who is left alone after a roommate moves out and must face the outside world. An Aspie Life presents everyday experiences from the perspective of an autistic person and draws on the developer’s personal experience.
The player explores the surroundings and interacts with characters, adapting their actions to the protagonist’s way of perceiving the world. Environmental sounds appear on a sensitivity meter that must be kept under control to prevent the character from becoming overwhelmed. Characters are shown as silhouettes to represent the difficulty of reading body language.
