Brigador is an isometric real-time tactics game about a mercenary pilot hired to sow chaos in a city-state after the sudden death of its dictator. The mission is intended to help an unnamed conglomerate invade the planet and take control of its population and resources.
In the Campaign, the player selects from several vehicle and weapon loadouts to complete missions by eliminating enemy units, taking out marked captains or destroying orbital defense platforms before escaping. Successful missions earn money that can unlock in-game lore text, as well as vehicles, weapons and pilots for Freelance mode. There, the player chooses a pilot, vehicle, weapons and a sequence of levels; these choices affect enemy difficulty, the factions encountered and the payout for completing the run.
