Bullet Soul is an arcade space shooter about a group of heroes standing against the Mecha-warl empire, which seeks to conquer space. Among those who oppose it are Zenichi, a space pirate; Yun, an officer of the galaxy patrol; Sadahl, a monarch; and Loop, a defender of Earth.
Players pilot a ship, dodge dense enemy fire, and destroy foes at close range to raise the score multiplier and render their bullets harmless. Stages hide bonus items, while several modes offer survival-focused play, score practice in Bancho Mode, and timed competition in Caravan Mode. Multiple ships and an additional playthrough loop are also available.
