Dance Dance Revolution SuperNOVA — the game retains the same core gameplay as the series. As you play, arrows scroll from the bottom of the screen to stationary arrows known as the "Step Zone". Once they reach the area, players step onto the dance floor corresponding to the arrows, and the game then evaluates timing accuracy. The ratings are: "Wonderful", "Perfect", "Excellent", "Good", "Almost" and "Boo". The last 2 ratings are from North American games and are different from the rating used for DDR Extreme, which has "Boo" and "Miss" respectively.
