A turn-based fantasy strategy game with role-playing elements, Disciples III: Renaissance centers on a struggle for control of Nevendaar. The Empire, the Legions of the Damned and the Elven Alliance seek to establish the rule of their respective gods, while the player leads one of the world’s races.
Across three campaigns comprising 19 missions, the player creates a hero, assembles a party and battles a range of creatures. Weapons, spells and artifacts can equip the hero, while characters from different classes can join the party. Battles are turn-based, and the game includes a single-player campaign and local multiplayer.

Yorumlar ve değerlendirmeler
Disciples 3'ün (hangi sürüm olursa olsun) tek bir dezavantajı var: hem küresel haritada hem de savaşın kendisinde yapay zekâ çok düşük, neredeyse yok denecek kadar az.
Eğer biri bunu düzeltseydi, oyun birinci sınıf olurdu, çünkü birim yetenekleri, kahraman becerileri, rünler, iksirler ve büyü kitabı, sıra tabanlı bir strateji için geniş bir manevra yelpazesi sunuyor, ama ne yazık ki yapay zekâ...
Bu oyunu oynamak için hikaye ve rol yapma bileşenine dikkat etmek gerekiyor.
У Disciples 3, любой версии — один недостаток только — искусственный интеллект как на глобальной карте, так и в самом сражении — слишком низкий, по суте его практически нету.
Если бы это кто нибудь исправил , игра была бы на высшем уровне — ибо способности юнитов, навыки героев, руны, зелья. и книга заклинаний — даёт широкий диапазон для манёвров для пошаговой стратегии, но увы — искусственный интеллект ...
Сюжет же ролевая составляющая — стоит внимания — чтоб поиграть в данную игру
