Dragon Quest 3 is a fantasy role-playing game about a hero who takes up his father’s quest to save the world from the archfiend Baramos. To prepare for the confrontation, the hero gathers a party and travels among towns and other locations across the game world.
In turn-based battles, the party fights enemies, gains experience, levels up, and uses equipment. The party’s members can be changed, while the day-and-night cycle affects the availability of certain characters, quests, and events. The journey also leads through caves, ruins, and castles.
