Drakengard 2 — Like the original Drakengard, the game is divided into chapters and divided into ground and air missions. The game's plot dictates which missions appear during the initial playthrough and how they play out, although as the player progresses, new remastered versions of the game's various levels are unlocked, called "free missions", which allow the player to play through missions with story elements removed. The player can navigate between self-contained areas of the game world using the world map, unlocked after the first chapter.
