Aksiyon
Arka oyunları, basit oyun mekaniği kullanılan bir video oyunu türüdür. Genellikle hikayeye ve karakterlerin derinliğine çok az dikkat edilir. Arka oyunları, olayların özüne dalmadan kolay bir zaman geçirmek için tasarlanmıştır. Önemli olan, oyun süreci ve onun basitliğidir. Arka oyunlarına farklı türlerdeki oyunlar da dahil edilebilir. Örneğin, arka yarışlarda gerçekçi bir fizik yoktur, genellikle silah kullanılır, daha sık olarak pistlerde bonuslar toplanabilir ve kontrol üç düğmeye indirgenir: sola, sağa ve hızlanma. Diğer arka türlerde de oyun süreci benzer şekilde basitleştirilir.
