This city-building strategy game is set in the Roman Empire, where the player governs a province and develops a prosperous settlement. Progress depends on planning construction, managing the economy and making strategic decisions. Imperium Romanum lets players build historically authentic structures, bridges, fortifications, city walls and aqueducts, while religion and Roman deities also influence the city.
Missions and campaigns bring challenges such as crime, riots and natural disasters. The game features a combat system with siege engines and varied units, and mission objectives can be activated as the player progresses. Day-and-night cycles and changing weather affect the game world.
