Killzone 2 — 2 years have passed since the events of the previous game. The Vektans, supported by the I.S.A. fleet. (English Interplanetary Strategic Alliance, Russian Interplanetary Strategic Union) manages not only to recapture the planet from the Helghasts, but also to launch an invasion of the enemy’s home planet — Helghan. The protagonist is Thomas "Sev" Sevchenko, a fighter of the Alpha group, while Ian Templar, the main character of the first part, having risen to the rank of colonel, commands the cruiser Supernova, directing the operation at a strategic level. The game begins with the landing of the I.S.A. on Helghan, in the area of the Corinth River, where they encounter fierce resistance from the Helghast. Together with Rico, Garza and Natko, Sev organizes fire cover for a column of friendly tanks on the way to Pyrrhus, the capital of Helghan.

İlk oyundan sonra en kötüsüne hazırlıklıydım ama Killzone devam oyununu kesinlikle çok sevdim. Guerrilla, PS3 döneminin en ustaca nişancı oyunlarından birini yarattı. Eskiyen PS3'ün grafikleri hâlâ etkileyici, çizimler ve görseller muhteşem ve mükemmel ses tasarımıyla birleşince, sizi kelimenin tam anlamıyla içine çeken çarpıcı bir atmosfer yaratıyorlar. После первой игры готовился к самому худшему, но сиквел Killzone невероятно понравился. Guerrilla сделали один из самых шедевральных шутеров времен PS3. Графика на старушке PS3 до сих пор впечатляет, арт-дизайн и визуал шикарен, а в купе с отличнейшим саунд-дизайном создаёт шикарнейшую атмосферу, в которую буквально погружаешься. Но самое главное -механика стрельбы. Здесь она в отличие от первой части кайфовая. Каждая пушка ощущается по-разному: вес, отдача, импакт от попадания по вражескому npc.Стрелять и штурмовать Хелгастов одно удовольствие.
