This tactical RPG combines real-time strategy and shooter elements in a kingdom destroyed by denizens of the netherworld. A memoryless wisp, freed from an abandoned church, heads for the castle of Aventheim and awakens the souls of fallen knights to help confront the forces that brought down the kingdom.
The player guides the wisp and activates knights’ souls to fight enemies across the map. Foes fire in multiple directions, making it important to master the touch controls. More than 100 characters from seven knight classes can be found and recruited; their souls can be sacrificed to alter one another’s skills and form a party. The story unfolds through events in both the past and present, and completing the adventure unlocks a version that puts the antagonist in the starring role.
