MegaRace is a futuristic vehicular-combat game framed as a survival-racing show broadcast on the fictional VWBT channel. The player competes against speed gangs while host Lance Boyle introduces new tracks and opponents.
The tracks appear as looping full-motion video with pre-rendered 3D graphics, limiting control of the car to moving side to side and accelerating; turning is not possible. The goal is to eliminate every opponent within three laps by ramming them into the trackside barriers or firing missiles, while avoiding or driving over track symbols that temporarily affect the car’s performance.
