This first-person point-and-click adventure begins when the protagonist finds a battered old book and is transported to the island of Myst. As the player explores its surreal landscape, they uncover an ancient betrayal and discover that secret books lead to other worlds imagined by the author.
In Myst: Masterpiece Edition, the player uses their wits to unravel a web of deception. The worlds are being destroyed through the actions of the author’s sons, and the mystery is to determine which one is responsible. The edition retains the original point-and-click gameplay while upgrading the color, music, and sound effects.
