This first-person detective adventure takes place in April 2043, when private investigator Tex Murphy looks into rumors of a UFO crash in Roswell and investigates why the military sealed off the local complex. The case also touches on the lost Mayan civilization and a secret buried for three thousand years.
Players freely explore three-dimensional environments, inspect rooms and objects, solve puzzles, and gather clues. Choices shape one of three narrative paths, leading to seven endings, and determine whether Tex remains an honest investigator or becomes a cynical opportunist. Two difficulty levels are available: one includes a hint system, while the other removes hints and adds puzzles and locations.
