A turn-based role-playing game set in a fantasy world, Paper Sorcerer follows a sorcerer trying to escape a magical book prison and regain his lost powers. The heroes who sealed him away are now hunting him, and as he makes his way through dungeons, he may discover that more powerful forces are at work.
The player assembles a party of summoned monsters and dark creatures, unlocking new allies and choosing how to build the team. Battles emphasize tactics and managing an energy pool for special attacks rather than repeated grinding. Dungeons also contain environmental puzzles and hidden paths, which can be approached with spells, items, and careful observation.
