A tactical action game with a retro-futuristic style, Pineapple Smash Crew sends a squad to fight aliens, robots and zombies aboard randomly generated ships. The player directs the squad’s formation and shoots enemies, making use of grenades and other grenade-launched weapons.
As the squad levels up, the player chooses weapons with different effects, including rockets, mines, laser beams and decoys. Combat also features power-ups such as slowing time, invincibility and increased damage. Computer logs provide details about the Wasabi War, which led to the wrecks of the spaceships.
