Protonwar is a fast-paced multiplayer first-person shooter built around quick movement. It can be played in VR, seated VR, or without VR, including mixed matches with VR and non-VR players. Bots are available for offline practice, while Horde mode supports solo or cooperative play.
Modes include Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Hunt the Flag, and Domination. Movement options include jumping, dodging, and climbing walls, with several locomotion settings available. Gameplay mutators add rules such as Bullet Time, low gravity, and Instagib, where weapons kill with a single hit. Matches can be played with friends or hosted on a dedicated server.
