This action role-playing game is set in 2083, after environmental pollution has turned most of Earth into mutant-filled wastelands and contaminated deserts, while a weakened global government has lost ground to powerful corporations. At the start of the campaign, players choose one of four characters, and that choice affects how the story unfolds.
Role-playing systems form the core of the game, but combat and a faster pace give action a prominent role. Alongside the story-driven single-player campaign, a cooperative multiplayer mode lets players team up against enemies.
