Return to Mysterious Island 2 is an adventure logic puzzle game with a first-person view in the point and click genre. Mina's rescue at the end of the first game ended abruptly, and she and the primate Jep were once again left on the mysterious island. Mina needs to bandage her wounds and keep herself safe from the local wildlife, but now she has the help of the player-controlled Jep, who can fit into small spaces, navigate the jungle with dexterity, and even communicate with other animals.
