The online mode in SOCOM 2: U.S. Navy SEALs supports matches of up to 16 players split between two teams. Players create SEAL character profiles and take on hostile forces across 22 online missions spanning five mission types, including Escort and Breach. A compatible headset enables communication in matches and lobbies, with sub-channels for offensive and defensive strategies, while a friends list helps players find one another and rankings track individual and clan standings.
