In the far future, humanity is ruled by the oppressive Ministry of Accounts, which tracks and taxes everyday transactions. The player takes on the role of a space trader seeking to build a fortune in an open-world trading simulation combined with shooter combat.
Progress comes through buying and selling commodities, making deals, using bribes and taking up arms against the authorities. Traders can also accept bounty missions and hunt down crime bosses and their thugs, rising from Rookie to Master.
