Syndicate (2012) — Taking the storyline of the popular 1993 tactics game Syndicate as a basis, Starbreeze makes a modern remake in the spirit of cyberpunk and dystopian, changing the genre to action. The script for the project was written by Richard Morgan, a British science fiction writer who created the plot for Crysis 2. The game takes place in 2069, the world is ruled by the so-called “Syndicates”. The main character, Miles Kilo, a special agent of EuroCorp, carries out dangerous assignments for a corporation involved in a power struggle between the Syndicates. Political power has gone into the shadow of big business — the world is now ruled by corporations that have divided the entire globe among themselves. The population is controlled using neuroimplant chips.
