This turn-based role-playing game with survival and roguelike elements is set in the ancient North, in Iron Age Finland. The player chooses one of nine cultures and decides how the character lives: hunting, fishing, trading, or roaming the wilderness are all possible. There are no character classes; progression is based on skills ranging from cooking to tracking and hideworking.
The world, with its forests, mires, mountains, and waterways, is procedurally generated. The character gathers food, sets traps, picks berries, cooks, crafts items, and builds shelter, from a temporary camp to a log cottage. Turn-based combat offers tactical choices and takes weapons into account, while injuries are recorded for specific parts of the body and affect physical activity.
