A side-scrolling action game in which an ordinary man named Joe transforms into a superhero and fights enemies in cartoon- and noir-inspired settings. Combat revolves around switching visual modes, including slow motion and zoom, to change the pace of encounters and perform special attacks.
Players control Joe and use visual effects against opponents. The image can be sped up or slowed down, combining these techniques with classic side-scrolling movement.
