This space action game with strategy elements follows X-COM's fight against aliens threatening Earth and its mining operations beyond the planet. The player commands the project and directs humanity's defense throughout a campaign.
Preparing for combat involves purchasing equipment, hiring pilots, researching technologies and outfitting X-COM fighters. In battle, the player pilots an attack ship in real-time 3D combat from a first-person perspective.
