Rol yapma oyunu
Bu tür, masaüstü rol oyunlarından ortaya çıkmıştır. Kullanıcı, oyun dışı karakterlerle etkileşimde bulunması ve düşmanlarla savaşması gereken bir kahramanı veya grubu yönetir. Hepsinin çeşitli parametreleri, sayısal özellikleri ve belirli yetenekleri vardır. Rol oyunlarının oyun süreci sıralı veya gerçek zamanlı olabilir. Rol oyunları iki tipe ayrılır: biri sadece savaşa odaklanır ve oyuncuya geniş bir savaş yetenekleri ve silah seçeneği sunar, diğeri ise daha fazla özgürlük sağlar ve bazı görevleri savaşmadan, hitabet, gizlilik vb. becerileri kullanarak tamamlamaya olanak tanır. İkinci tür rol oyunları derin bir dünyaya, ilginç bir hikayeye ve çok sayıda yan göreve sahiptir.
